Germany: Sound Kit for “Oculus Quest 2” VR Headset

The “Oculus Quest 2” VR headset, which has been available since fall 2020 and is designed both for private VR entertainment at home and for the LBE market, is being offered without sound hardware in its standard version, in favor of a lower consumer price. However, since the right soundscape also plays a crucial role for the immersive experience of virtual worlds, German company kabetec has developed a sound kit with Sennheiser loudspeakers specifically for the Oculus Quest 2 goggles. The sound module is simply connected to the headset, allowing Quest 2 users to experience virtual content with the appropriate sound. (eap)
