Germany: Spreewelten Bad Welcomed Its Five Millionth Visitor
Germany’s Spreewelten Bad indoor pool facility, located in the federal state of Brandenburg, provides guests with a variety of bathing fun and experiences such as “swimming with penguins“ and interactive slides. The water world, which received the European Waterpark Association’s (EWA) “Professional Award“ for the modernization and reconstruction of the bathing and sauna areas as well as for the opening of the first Spreewelten Hotel in 2019 (cf. EAP 2/2019 & 1/2020), just welcomed its five millionth visitor in ist over 20-year-long history.
The foundation for Spreewelten was laid the opening of the Kristallbad indoor pool in 1999, which was taken over and developed into a new bathing complex for families by Spreewelten GmbH in 2007. Last year, the indoor pool facility recorded a total of 311,000 visitors in 2019, with around 850 guests per day. (eap)
