Germany: Spreewelten Bad in Lübbenau Opened Themed Restaurant with Penguin Theme

At the end of April, the Spreewelten Bad waterpark in Germany’s Spreewald region opened a new themed restaurant called “Baldura”. In the restaurant people can follow the journey of the Peruvian penguins into the waterpark. About three years ago, the waterpark opened its unique penguin attraction, where visitors can observe real Peruvian penguins through a glass pane in an outdoor pool (we reported on this in EAP issue 5/2009). A story, which is going to be published in a children’s book as well, was exclusively written for the theming and design of the restaurant. It is about the penguins’ voyage from South America, where they originally come from, to Germany. Some of the penguins’ adventures are represented in the theming of the restaurant. (eap)
