Germany: Therme Erding with New Lake Sauna & Chalets
As a new offering in its sauna world, Germany’s Therme Erding has recently launched a new lake sauna facility for bathing guests, offering a direct view of a lake. The oval-shaped sauna building is located between the Russian Banya sauna (cf. EAP news from January 20th, 2017) and the sandy beach in the outdoor area. It features a 75 square metre glass front for daylight and offers space for between 120 and 150 sauna-goers at the same time. A sauna session in the 70 °C warm environment lasts around ten to twenty minutes. Singing bowl infusions, scents and sound (produced in cooperation with Klassik Radio) round off the new wellness offering, in which Therme Erding invested an amount of approx. 620,000 Euros.
In addition to the new lake sauna, guests to Therme Erding can relax in new luxury lake chalets, built in Swiss stone pine wood and featuring large panoramic windows and terraces partly reaching the lake. There are three lake chalets to choose from, each offering two suites of around 50 square meters. The investment costs for the new chalets amounted to some 488,000 Euros in total, divided into around 413,000 Euros for the construction and a further 75,000 Euros for equipping the chalets. (eap)
