Germany: Treetop Path St. Englmar Enhances Visitor Offering
On a height of 30 metres, visitors to the Bavarian Treetop Path St. Englmar are able to enjoy a panoramic view over the Bavarian Forest’s nature. To enhance the experience, the site has developed an additional 23.5 metre-high tower at the end of the path, which offers several climbing stations on seven storeys and on three separated levels. Inside the tower, two new slides have been installed by German manufacturer Wiegand.
The first one is a 47 metre-long spiral tube slide including bull’s eyes, in which guests can slide back down to the treetop path from the fifth storey. The second slide invites visitors to enjoy a 53 metre-long ride – the curvy construction is equipped with a seethrough polycarbonate slide cover, which offers a view into the tower while sliding. For a safe slide experience, Wiegand installed a signal light system. Additional visitor offerings at St. Englmar include several educational paths dedicated to different themes such as illusion and optic phenomena, as well as an indoor attraction, which is designed as a house turned upside down.
