Germany: Tropical Islands to Expand its Offers by Adding an Outdoor Waterpark

Located around 60 kilometers south of Berlin, Germany’s Tropical Islands resort in Krausnick, known for its huge indoor water park facility housed in a tropical hall, will expand its offerings this year by the addition of a vast outdoor water park area featuring numerous water attractions. Plans include the construction of a whitewater river, several pools and a spray area for children on a total area of 33,000 square meters. Guests can look forward to a fun and action area, a relax pool and a children’s area. By adding an outdoor water park to the existing facility, the resort wants to enhance its attractiveness for families and all age groups as a tourist destination. In a further step, Tropical Islands plans to create additional accommodation offers. (eap)
