Germany: Weiherhofbad Reopened as of Today

After renovation works of two and a half months Germany’s swimming and recreation facility Weiherhofbad, situated in the city of Karlsruhe, reopens today. In addition to general maintenance works the facility’s showers and toilets have been renovated and modernized during the last weeks. The sauna area, including a steam room, a log cabin sauna and the “kota” sauna which was opened in 2011, is available again for guests as well. On November 13, 2015 Weiherhofbad’s official reopening ceremony will take place, attended by Mayor Martin Lenz. Until this date some final works will affect the shower area but apart from these Karlsruhe’s citizens can look forward to a pleasurable swimming experience again. (eap)
