Germany: What to Do with the Decoration That’s Left?

From season to season, amusement parks all over the world invest time and money in the creation of the appropriate ambience and decoration, which in autumn often includes food such as pumpkins and apples. But when it’s time to replace the old “look” by another, the question is what to do with the the used materials?

The German Europa-Park sets a positive example by donating all the 20,000 apples of its 80 square meter large mosaic artwork to the Alternative Wolf- und Bärenpark Schwarzwald located in the Black Forest region. The animal resort recently opened a station for little bear orphans and is very thankful for receiving the free food. (eap)
