Germany: interbad 2018 Closes with Solid Attendance Results
Over 14,000 visitors attended this year’s edition of interbad – the International Trade Fair for Swimming Pools, Sauna and Spas with Congress for Pool and Bath Technology –, which took place from October 23rd-26th last week in the exhibition halls of Messe Stuttgart. According to the official figures, some 27 percent of the trade show visitors came from abroad. The results of the trade fair, which takes place every two years, show a solid attendance compared to interbad 2016, also with over 14,000 visitors (cf. EAP, 1/17). This year, 416 exhibitors (2016: 437 exhibitors) presented new product developments for the private and municipal swimming pool, sauna and spa sectors in three exhibition halls.
Messe Stuttgart Managing Director Ulrich Kromer von Baerle expressed his satisfaction with the visitor attendance: "This year’s interbad audience came with clear investment intentions, which makes the trade fair even more attractive for exhibitors.”
Katrin Schütz, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, added: "The interbad is a success story! With the main topics of digitalization, specialist recruitment, education as well as training offerings, interbad takes on the future challenges for small and medium-sized companies.”
