Germany: interbad compact – “interbad Innovation Days” on 22 & 23 Sept, Next Regular Trade Show in 2022
Originally scheduled for 21 to 24 September this year, the interbad trade show (International Trade Show for Swimming Pools, Saunas and Spas) will now be held exclusively on 22 and 23 September in Stuttgart as a more compact in-person event entitled “interbad Innovation Days”. The decision for this alternative concept with a congress, networking opportunities and exhibition was made by consensus by the organizers and those responsible, and the next regular interbad is scheduled to take place in October 2022.
The Messe Stuttgart statement says: “In view of the still foreseeable continuing travel restrictions as well as the condensed trade fair market situation worldwide, holding the interbad in 2021 is not considered to be expedient and promising for all those involved. Over 40% of the exhibitors and more than one in four visitors come from abroad. In October 2022, the 27th International Trade Fair for Swimming Pools, Sauna and Spa with congress for the pool industry will take place.”
Andreas Wiesinger, member of the management team of Messe Stuttgart, says: “We are pleased to present an alternative concept for fall 2021 that will allow us to gather the industry on site in this exceptional year. With the interbad Innovation Days 2021, we have developed an in-person event that will finally once again satisfy the desire for personal exchange between visitors and exhibitors, make the key theme of innovation a tangible experience and, above all, enable an overarching transfer of knowledge. The adapted setting with a qualified security concept offers planning security and thus focuses on the essentials after the long lockdown,” explains Wiesinger.
The European Waterpark Association (EWA) welcomes the decision by Messe Stuttgart, “which will lead to a significant equalization of the trade fair dates,” and will therefore now hold its annual general meeting, including the “EWA Awards” ceremony, on 28 October in the course of aquanale in Cologne.
