Germany: monte mare Group Receives German Business Award
On the occasion of the anniversary gala “25 Years Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses”, which took place on 19 October in Würzburg/Bavaria, the monte mare group of companies (one of Germany’s largest operator of bathing complexes, sauna & wellness facilities) was awarded the “Premier Plaque of Honour” – the highest distinction of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation. The Premier honorary status is only awarded to companies that have already received the Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses and the “Premier Prize”. In 2016, monte mare was cited as Germany’s premier finalist by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation (cf. EAP 1/2017).
“Awards are a recognition for our performance and achievements that we have reached together with our employees in 35 years. We are all jointly responsible for our future success. Resting on awards is not the correct approach – rather, it encourages us in our endeavours and actions to look to the future,” commented Herbert Doll, founder and Managing Director of monte mare group, who accepted the plaque of honour together with his son Patrick Doll during the gala.
The Grand Prize of Medium-Sized Businesses is an important award of the German economy to companies that have not only achieved business success but also provide great services to communities. In 2019, a total of 5,399 small and medium-sized companies as well as business-friendly municipalities and banks from more than 1,400 institutions were nominated for the 25th award ceremony. (eap)
