Germany/China: TimeRide VR Cöln Comes to China
During the World Conference on Virtual Reality Industry, which will take place from October 19th to 21st in the Chinese metropolis of Nanchang, Germany’s TimeRide GmbH start-up company will present a replica of its stationary TimeRide VR Cöln attraction, which was launched in autumn last year in Cologne (cf. EAP, 5/17).
Sitting in a replica of the first electric tram of the city, visitors to the attraction in Cologne enjoy a virtual trip through the city’s old town at the beginning of the 20th century. Furthermore, the site includes a preshow area with stereoscopic 3D photos providing a glance at the Rhine metropolis a hundred years ago. A replica of this attraction is now on its way to China. Besides a historical cash desk and 22 stereoscopic 3D photos showcasing Cologne and other European cities, the delivery includes another electric train replica. In addition, the attraction’s film was translated into Chinese.
“For us it is a first and at the same time a very important step to draw international attention on our TimeRide VR brand. In this way, we can connect with new suppliers and partners in the dynamic Chinese VR industry,” commented Jonas Rothe, Co-Founder and CEO of TimeRide GmbH.
Besides the temporary exhibition in China, additional TimeRide VR locations are currently under development in Germany and other European countries. The opening of TimeRide VR Dresden is scheduled in the German city for the end of this year. (eap)
