(eap) A new family roller coaster in a new themed area is set to open at Holiday Park Germany in Haßloch in summer 2025. The 760-metre-long track of the new coaster will run both next to and over the park’s lake and will include elements such as a spike and a surprising backwards ride. The roller coaster is being developed by German manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides. The new themed area and roller coaster will bring the story of “100% Wolf” to life, which is an Australian children’s film with a series spin-off, which has delighted young viewers internationally.

“With this new attraction, we are closing the gap between our indoor children’s roller coaster and our thrill coasters,” emphasizes Bernd Beitz, Director Germany of Holiday Park operator Plopsa. “The 11-million-euro investment aims to offer a varied experience for guests of all ages. The new roller coaster is perfect for the whole family.”

Coen Nieuwenstein, sales responsible at Gerstlauer, is looking forward to the collaboration: “Gerstlauer is very pleased and grateful to be part of the project team realizing this family roller coaster and the beautiful new area at Holiday Park.”

The new major attraction is part of Holiday Park’s 80-million-euro master plan. The new kiddie attractions “Greenville Bus” and “Blinky’s Soapbox” (both by Zamperla) will open this summer. In 2025, in addition to the new 100% Wolf family roller coaster, the Smurfs will follow with a themed ride and the “Blinky Bill” themed area “Greenville Town” will be completed with another attraction. From 2026, a “Tomorrowland” themed area with a large roller coaster will move into the park. Furthermore, 40 million euros will be invested in an independent water park with themed pools and water slides. ■
