IAAPA Expo Asia Kicks Off in Bangkok
(eap) The conference and supporting program of IAAPA Expo Asia, organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA), starts today at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. The show floor opens tomorrow: 361 companies from the leisure industry’s manufacturing and supply sector will be exhibiting in a total of three halls covering around 7,800 net square meters.
In addition to product innovations, participants are offered various education sessions and EDUTours designed to give them an insight into current topics of the leisure industry. The first EDUTour to Pattaya took place yesterday and included a visit to the Ramayana Water Park. There will be seminars on five topics this year: “Professional Development and Industry Insights”, “Operational Excellence and Maintenance”, “Guest Experience and Services”, “Revenue Diversification” and “Business Strategies and Technology and Innovation”.
Furthermore, there will be a number of keynote and roundtable sessions with speakers from parks and entertainment facilities from the Asia Pacific region, including executives from Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Universal Beijing Resort and Enchanted Kingdom. IAAPA Expo Asia 2024 runs through Thursday, May 30. ■
