Infinite Acquisitions Partners & Oceaneering Entertainment Systems ...

Cecil D. Magpuri (l.), CEO of Falcon's Beyond, and Dave Mauck, VP and General Manager of Oceaneering International Inc.

(eap) Henrico, Virginia-based Infinite Acquisition Partners LLC – a majority shareholder in Orlando, Florida-based creative design group Falcon’s Beyond Global – recently announced that it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire Oceaneering Entertainment Systems (OES), the ride systems division of Oceaneering International Inc. (OII), also based in the US, through an acquisition of assets. A further letter of intent has been entered with Falcon’s Beyond Global for the potential future operation of OES and the acquisition of key employees. Falcon’s Beyond is already divided into the three sub-companies Falcon’s Creative Group, Falcon’s Beyond Destinations and Falcon’s Beyond Brands.

Falcon’s and OES have been working together for more than two decades to realize projects in the experience and entertainment industry worldwide. A major joint project was, for example, the Katmandu Park in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), which opened last year, was planned by Falcon’s Beyond and equipped with attractions including such developed together by Falcon’s Creative Group and OES (c.f. EAP News of 15th March 2024). If the acquisition transaction will be executed, Infinite, as the future owner of OES, would use the know-how of Falcon’s Beyond to continue to operate OES, including the development of trackless rides, flying theater attractions and other products.

“We are excited about the opportunity to own and grow OES. We believe that Falcon’s expertise in experiential themed entertainment and technology makes them a great fit and they'll be able to operate and further amplify the OES brand,” commented Lucas Demerau, President of Infinite.

“[…] This strategic move would further bolster Falcon’s Beyond’s platform as a world-class entertainment provider,” added Cecil D. Magpuri, CEO of Falcon’s Beyond.

Dave Mauck, Vice President and General Manager of Oceaneering International, said, “Falcon’s innovative attraction development and storytelling prowess make it an ideal operator of OES. Existing OES customers would remain customers of OES, with Falcon’s Beyond servicing the contracts of OES, with Falcon’s Beyond servicing the contracts and providing the same high quality and level of service that has built OES’s stellar reputation.”

The transactions involving Infinite, Oceaneering, OES and Falcon’s Beyond are subject to ongoing discussions, due diligence and the execution of binding agreements, and there is no assurance that binding agreements for the transactions will be executed. ■
