Italy: Acquario di Genova Introduces New Visitor Experiences

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Acquario di Genova, located in the Italian city of Genova, recently expanded its experience offerings. Filmmaster Events developed the concept for the renovation, named “The aquarium is a ship travelling through the world seas”. Under the leadership of artistic director Alfredo Accatino, the Italy-based event company created new visitor experiences focusing on edutainment. Filmmaster Events developed new interactive installations, reorganized the sound and light design as well as the scenography and re-named the tanks.
In the “Sala Blu” area, the first room seen by visitors after starting the tour, Filmmaster Events installed a spectacular video mapping, which shows the visitors’ entire itinerary using a captivating storytelling. Further installations will be introduced at the eels tank, the penguins area and the jellyfish tank. Besides, the company will upgrade the aquarium’s hi-tech area with interactive stations specially developed for the facility. Filmmaster Events was also involved in the creation of a new App, which will be launched during the anniversary celebrations. (eap)
