Italy: Gardaland Resort Announces Europe’s First LEGOLAND Water Park

As Gardaland CEO Aldo Maria Vigevani announced yesterday, the Italian Gardaland Resort plans to open Europe’s first LEGOLAND ® Water Park in 2020. It will also be the world’s first LEGO waterpark in an amusement park which is not completely under the LEGOLAND brand.
Gardaland, as part of the Merlin Entertainments group*, designs the waterpark especially for families with children at the age of two to twelve. The new park aims to combine the fundamental values of Lego – fun, quality, inventive talent, creativity and learning – with the values of the Gardaland Resort – fantasy, adventure and magic.
“The LEGO brand is of high international relevance and contributes to strengthening the position of Gardaland,” says Aldo Vigevani. Gardaland Resort expects increasing the number of overnight stays in their three theme hotels due to the opening of the new park. *see EAP-news of 1 July 2019. (eap)
