Italy: Leolandia Presents New Theme Area
On August 1st this year, Italy’s Leolandia leisure park will open its new “Masha and the Bear’s Woodland” theme area, dedicated to the Russian computer animation series “Masha and the Bear”. The new theme area, which will cover some 10,000 square meters, will feature seven attractions for kids, one of which will be the “Vroom” kiddie coaster from Italian manufacturer Preston & Barbieri with a track length of 350 meters and a max. height of seven meters. The coaster’s theming will be based on an episode of the series, in which Masha and the Bear help their friend the Penguin to come back home by using a plane. In the queueing line, woodland animal figures will narrate the story, which turns around the creation of an aircraft factory.
Kids will also be able to enjoy themselves in “Masha’s House”, to have fun on a water playground or to climb and balance on a large adventure playground. Two souvenir shops will complete the new visitor offer. The new theme area is part of Leolandia’s extensive development plan for the next years in order to achieve further growth.
