Italy’s Leolandia Theme Park to Focus on Strategic Development
Leolandia, the Italian theme park located in the province of Bergamo, was able to record the best season in its history this year. Additionally, Leolandia climbed from sixth to third place of the Top 10 Italian theme parks in the Tripadvisor ranking. According to the park, the positive results can be attributed to various strategic measures implemented in the past few years, such as the development of themed areas for children aged between 0 and 10, including the meet and greet area with “Peppa Pig” as a special guest (cp. EAP news from 04 July 2014). As previously announced (cf. EAP news from 14 Oct 2014), 2015 will see the opening of Peppa Pig’s very own theme area at Leolandia. To further strengthen this development, Massimiliano Freddi, Managing Director of Leolandia since 2010, will take on the position of VP Strategic Development next year. The operational management of the park will be managed by co-owner Thorus, presented by Guiseppe Ira. “I am happy and enthusiastic to accept the new challenge of becoming Vice President of Strategic Development and I want to thank the Thorus group for choosing me once again”, Freddi said.
