Jordan/UAE: Farah Experiences to Operate New Saraya Aqaba Waterpark in Jordan
The Saraya Aqaba Waterpark, which is currently under development in the port city of Aqaba in Jordan, will be operated by Farah Experiences, an entity of Miral Asset Management. The Jordanian development company behind the water park project, Eagle Hills Jordan, has chosen the Abu Dhabi (UAE)-based company, which also operates Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and the CLYMB sports and leisure center, among others.
Saraya Aqaba Waterpark will be the first facility of its kind in the Kingdom of Jordan and will feature a series of large water slides, a wave pool and water play attractions, as well as a water skiing area and an artificial surf pool (read also our Adventure Sports Parks special article series in EAP issue 2/2021). The water park, which is scheduled to open this year as one of the main attractions of a comprehensive leisure and tourism complex, was designed by Amusement Logic. The water park will be themed around the country, with rides and attractions named after iconic landmarks including Jerash and Wadi Rum.
