Just Opened: Tube Coaster at Schloss Dankern in New Medieval Theme Area Takes Up Speed
Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen (Eigentümer Ferienzentrum Schloss Dankern, re.) und Niedersachsens Wirtschaftsminister Dr. Bernd Althusmann eröffnen den neuen Tube-Coaster in Burg Arkan.
During an official opening ceremony and in presence of Lower Saxony’s Economics Minister Dr. Bernd Althusmann, Ferienzentrum Schloss Dankern has just opened its new “Burg Arkan” (Engl. “Arcan Castle”) theme area today featuring a tube coaster as its main attraction.
The new “Middle Ages” theme area is located directly behind the park’s entrance and includes a heavily themed climbing and playing structure (from Kinderland Emsland). The new family coaster, which was supplied by abc rides, starts from a 23 meter high tower at a height of approx. 14 meters (cf. our park report in EAP issue 2/17). With a speed of up to 50 km/h, riders rush along the 400 meter long track (including the lift section). Kids with a minimum body height of 1.1 meters are allowed to ride the new attraction.
