Kannewischer Takes over VitaSol Therme Bad Salzuflen, Germany
(eap) After the Kannewischer Management AG based in Switzerland had held overall responsibility for the operation and further development of the VitaSol Therme in Bad Salzuflen (Germany) as a tenant for 15 years, the operating group is now taking over the thermal spa completely. This means that the thermal spa will pass into private ownership 50 years after its opening. With the purchase of the facility, the new owners now also want to set the course for the addition of a spa hotel, which is intended to significantly upgrade the overall facility.
In addition to the thermal spa and swimming pool area with more than 1,700 square meters of water surface distributed over six indoor and two outdoor pools, the facility, which is located in the North Rhine-Westphalian spa town, also includes a generous sauna landscape (eight different saunas indoors and outdoors on more than 6,000 square meters), a fitness club, a wellness and treatment area, and a restaurant called “KochWerk”. Under the motto “Feel good all around”, the VitaSol Therme aims to combine relaxation, well-being and activity with its comprehensive range of offers. Under the “Kannewischer Collection” brand, the Kannewischer company currently operates five thermal spa facilities in total. Starting this fall, the Sprudelhof Therme in Bad Nauheim (Hesse) will be added as a sixth site. ■
