Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Döbeln Introduces Visitor Counting Technology

(eap) Like its existing sister facilities (at various locations on the German Baltic coast and in Elstal near Berlin), the new Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Döbeln, Saxony, which opened last spring, is now also using digital visitor counting technology to record visitor flows in real time and optimize park operations based on the data.

The “pure.AIS” system from German provider purematic has been implemented, which includes counting sensors and a software to evaluate the data in order to analyze visitor flows and identify trends, such as peak times. Targeted visitor guidance is intended to reduce waiting times, while real-time control of the maximum visitor capacity is an aspect of the facility’s safety concept.

The Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Döbeln, which is celebrating its first anniversary this month, offers just as much of a “strawberry” experience as the other Karls locations – but also has a special feature to offer in the form of “Bockwurst Land” (“Sausage Country”, read more in our article in EAP 3/2024) ...■
