KidZania London Opens Today

Today, June 25, the Mexican educational entertainment brand KidZania opened its 19^th location at London’s “Westfield” shopping center. In the 75,000 square foot kid-sized indoor replica of a city, children aged between 4 and 14 will have the chance to experience the inner working of 60 different careers by role-play, from firefighter to chocolatier to radio personality. In this way, the kids can realize their potential, make their own discoveries about the world and get prepared for a positive and healthy future. The experiential learning concept also includes trying new things and learning how to solve problems and work together as a team. For this purpose, the KidZania London facility offers its visitors 48 real-world establishments, like a hospital, animation studio, stadium, bakery, fire station, beauty salon, music academy and more. “KidZania endeavors to open a child’s eyes to the world in a way that inspires and delights, and where better to experience such a city than in London – one of the most vibrant, eclectic and evolving cities”, Xavier Lopez Ancona, KidZania’s president, comments. The company opened its first location in 1999 and currently runs 19 centers in 16 different countries, with another seven locations under development.
