Kings Island Re-opens Gates Tomorrow
Tomorrow, April 15, the U.S. theme park Kings Island kicks-off its season. A new themed area and a new restaurant await guests this year. We already presented “Adventure Port” with its two new family attractions of the “Endeavour” and “Tea Cup” type by Italian manufacturer Zamperla in our EAP News at an earlier point. The new “Grain & Grill” restaurant, which will complement the park’s existing F&B options as soon as it opens during the season, will offer a fast-dining experience with Eastern European and Mediterranean flavors. Grain & Grill will find space on International Street next to Starbucks©.
Also, Kings Island has been able to bring Joseph Perez in the role of new executive chef onto the park’s gastronomy team. Perez previously held the same position at the Ameristar Casino and Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. His predecessor, James Major, is moving directly to the park’s parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment, where he will serve as regional F&B chef, overseeing several parks. (eap)
