LEGOLAND Windsor Announces New Duelling Rollercoaster for 2024
(eap) LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort in Berkshire, England, recently announced that a new roller coaster named “Minifigure Speedway” is set to open in spring 2024. The family-friendly ride will be a “Dueling Reverse Coaster” from Zierer, in which two trains race in parallel and ride both forwards and backwards.
“Minifigure Speedway is set to get pulses racing when it opens next Spring and will be the fun seeker’s favourite amongst families. Not only will it be the fastest coaster at the Resort once complete, but it will also offer a uniquely exhilarating experience where cars race forwards and in reverse against each other to see who will be named the winner. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon,” says Helen Bull, Division Director at the Legoland Windsor Resort.
A total of GBP 10 million (approx. EUR 11.5 million) is being invested in the new roller coaster, which is currently under construction. At the same time, construction is also underway on the new “Woodland Village” overnight accommodation, where park visitors will be able to spend the night from May next year. Also, a LEGO®-themed indoor mini-golf course has recently opened at the resort. ■
