LSM Launch Motorbike Coaster Opens at Fuji-Q Highland

(eap) A new LSM launch motorbike coaster from manufacturer Intamin recently opened at the Japanese amusement park Fuji-Q Highland, located near the famous Mount Fuji. The “Zokkon” named coaster seats a total of 14 people and features futuristic-looking trains themed as motorcycles, equipped with integrated sound and lights. The coaster reaches a top speed of 73 km/h along the 1,338-meter long track. Passengers are accelerated four times – once backwards, just after a spike element. Guests then whiz backward into an indoor show scene. Also, riders can look forward to twelve air-time moments at heights of up to 24 meters. Visitors at least 120 cm tall and not exceeding the maximum height of 195 cm are allowed to take a ride on Zokkon. ■
