Fantawild Wonderland: New Theme Park with First Super Boomerang Coaster

(eap) Last week, the completely new Fantawild Wonderland theme park by Fantawild Holdings Inc. celebrated its grand opening in Xuzhou, East China. More than four billion RMB (approx. 508 million EUR) were invested in the new theme park and its versatile attractions landscape. Some 30 outdoor and eight indoor attractions as well as various restaurants and stores shape the visitor offer. The new destination is expected to attract more than three million visitors per year.
The park’s highlight for thrill enthusiasts: the very first “Super Boomerang” coaster by Dutch roller coaster manufacturer Vekoma Rides. The attraction, named “Coaster Shuttle” at the park, is Vekoma’s latest triple-launch coaster model, reaching a max. speed of 95 km/h on 436 meters of track. Four inversions, ten air-time moments and a multi-pass launch (one of them backwards with max. 76 km/h) await the passengers. An eye-catching feature of the ride is the 52.5-meter tall tower that guests ascend by some 45 meters and then descend it backwards in a vertical freefall. Visitors over 1.20 meters tall can board one of the 24 roller coaster seats.
Park visitors, who prefer a slower experience may find a pleasing alternative with “Pine Tree Rocket”, a Vekoma Junior Coaster, and “Puppy Coaster”, a “Rev B Junior Coaster” from Beijing Shibaolai Amusement Equipment. ■
