Lappset Opened New Production Facility in Estonia

For many years now, Lappset has been developing games and playground equipment for different age groups, parkour solutions for teenagers as well as fitness devices for adults and elderly people. Moreover, the company has the exclusive distributions rights of Angry Birds themed playgrounds worldwide (cf. EAP news from 7 Dec 2011).

The Finland-based designer & manufacturer of outdoor play and sports equipment expanded its international business operations by opening a new production facility near Tallinn. Lappset Group Ltd., whose consolidation turnover was 47 million Euros in 2011, owns subsidiaries in Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain as well as The Netherlands and now also in Estonia. Lappset Estonia Oü was already founded as a subsidiary of Lappset Group at the end of 2011, but officially opened now. Metal components for Lappset’s playground and sports equipment are manufactured in the new production facility. The factory, which was built for a total investment of three million Euros, was inaugurated by Finland’s President Sauli Niinistö. (eap)
