(eap) The Schloss Beck amusement park in Bottrop (Germany) is opening a new water playground this summer. At a price tag of two million euros, this represents the largest single investment in an attraction in the park’s history. The new water playground features various play elements that promise a refreshing cool-down: These include a water wheel with a slide, a climbing and balancing path as well as a play area with water lilies, frog cannons and weirs for the little ones. Partner for the new attraction is Germany’s play equipment manufacturer Kinderland Parks.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests a place where they can let off steam and enjoy nature at the same time,” emphasizes Katharina Graveland-Kuchenbaecker, Managing Director of Freizeitpark Schloss Beck. “Our new water playground will be the perfect place for families to spend time together and create wonderful memories.”

Furthermore, the castle’s inner courtyard and several rooms are set to shine in new splendor for the park opening on Saturday. Preparations for the 2025 season also focused on the outdoor areas, where extensive paving, gardening and painting work was carried out. In addition, the discovery playground, the “bird wedding” fairytale scenery and the treetop path were overhauled.

The leisure park will open its gates for the 2025 summer season for the first time this weekend and will be open daily from April 12. ■
