(eap) Transforming a vacant shopping centre into an interactive gaming backdrop with real actors... this transformation is currently taking place in the Dutch city of Meppel in the province of Drenthe. The company Warrior Games, which has been offering real life games for several years now, is creating its first own gaming park. The facility, called “Last World”, is being designed in collaboration with Scare Creations as an American-style apocalyptic world and will have various rooms and secret passages for players to explore. Players will always have a goal, which varies depending on the respective game content. During the experience, they will also be able to interact with the actors and follow their personal storyline. A game will take between one and three hours.

From September to December, the company is going to offer the gaming adventures of “The Great Purge” and “The Breakout”, which revolve around horror and Halloween and are approved for people aged 18 and over. While “The Great Purge” can be booked by groups of up to 44 players, up to 90 players can take part in “The Breakout” at the same time. The games are also suitable for team-building events due to the necessary cooperation between the players. In future, however, not only scary games will be organized. The company has three new titles in its program from January next year – including a live version of the board game “Cluedo”. ■
