Legoland California: Visitor Record
Legoland in California reached a record in visitors this past year. A total of 1.65 million people came to Legoland in Carlsbad – more than ever before. More investments were also made in 2006 than in the past. For example, ten million USD went into an interactive pirate show with 4D movie screening. Due to the excellent acceptance of this area by visitors, another ride will also be created here this year: “Captain Cranky’s Challenge”. Visitor satisfaction lies at a fantastic 97 per cent, as John Jacobsen, President and GM, announced with pride. Another three million USD will be invested this year, most of which will go towards “Miniland Las Vegas”, an area that will be newly built out of approximately two million Lego blocks. (eap)
