Legoland Günzburg: Holiday Village Opens

The world’s first Legoland Holiday Village opened in Günzburg, Bavaria on the 18th of June. The Bavarian Minister of Family Affairs, Christa Stewens, conducted the grand opening ceremony of the park together with managing director Dr Andree Metzger and Nick Varney, CEO of the Merlin Entertainments group. Forty-five holiday homes with 90 family rooms, a campsite, restaurant, and lake with sandy beach and adventure playgrounds await guests at the nearly eight-hectare large site. The holiday homes pick up on the park’s popular themes of knights, adventurers, racing car drivers and pirates. With around 1.3 million visitors per annum, Legoland in Günzburg is one of the most heavily frequented amusement parks in Germany.
