Locarno Film Festival Relies on AI-Supported Ticketing Solutions

(eap) The Locarno Film Festival, a well-known film festival held annually in the idyllic town of Locarno, Switzerland, is working with the also Switzerland based company of Smeetz as its official ticketing partner this year. From online ticket sales to on-site registration and check-in, Smeetz’s services will cover the entire ticketing process. The use of state-of-the-art, AI-powered ticketing technologies is expected to enable faster and more effective ticketing with shorter processing times. Visitors will be able to easily purchase tickets and festival passes on the festival’s website. In addition, a cash register system from Smeetz will be used at the festival’s info points to enable on-site ticket sales. A function has also been integrated into the booking process that allows visitors to donate to the “Cause We Care” sustainability initiative organized with the non-profit climate protection organization myclimate. ■
