London: Number Four, Privet Drive Opens Its Door to Visitors

For the first time ever, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter invites Harry Potter fans to discover the Dursleys’ living room in the week from 27th May until 6th June this year. The original set will be presented for the 15th anniversary of the first filming of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” – equipped with the respective requisites. This includes the uncountable letters that young Harry Potter received from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as well as the technical equipment that was used to shoot these letters through the letterbox of number four, Privet Drive. Also the Dursleys’ costumes, designed by costume designer Judianna Makovsky, will be showcased. Located in the direct neighborhood of the active movie studios in which all eight Potter movies have been produced, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter enables visitors to experience a unique gaze behind-the-scenes. It opened its doors on 31st March 2012 featuring two studios and a studio area full of original sets, animatronic creatures and impressive special effects (read our detailed report in EAP, issue 5/2012).
