London/UK: Trade Show Results: IAAPA Expo Europe Records Over 30 Percent More Attendees than in Previous Year
The three-day IAAPA Expo Europe, Europe’s premier trade show event for the attractions industry held annually by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), concluded in London on Thursday. According to the organizers, a total of 11,474 attendees, including 7,510 registered buyers representing 4,408 companies, came to discover the novelties of the 530 exhibiting companies on the 15,000-square-meter show floor area. This result means an increase in visitors of over 30 percent compared to the previous year (2021 in Barcelona: 8,500). Visitors came from 94 countries, led by the UK, France, the Netherlands and Germany. The focus of the trade show’s supporting educational program this year was on topics such as sustainability and safety.
“This week was everything we had hoped it would be as the global attractions industry continues to navigate new challenges that have arisen over the last several years,” said Peter van der Schans, Executive Director and Vice President for IAAPA EMEA. “Bringing together thousands of attendees from around the world is just one aspect of IAAPA, but it’s something we do really well. I hope attendees, everyone from exhibitors and buyers to industry veterans and session speakers, left feeling inspired to continue the exceptional work they do at their respective companies.”
