Mark Haak Wegmann Is New CEO of EMAAR Entertainment
(eap) Former Center Parcs Europe CEO and M2 Leisure co-owner Mark Haak Wegmann (photo), who most recently served as managing director of the leisure and entertainment division of the Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Group in Dubai, has now assumed the position of CEO of EMAAR Entertainment, i.e. the management of one of retail development company EMAAR’s business units, which acts as operator of local leisure attractions such as the “Storm Chaser” coaster by manufacturer Intamin at the Dubai Hills Mall, the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo at the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Ice Rink. Since 2021, Haak Wegmann, who continues to hold the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Center Parcs Europe, has been active in the Arab region. From 2021 and until recently, he was a board member of the Middle East North Africa Leisure & Attraction Council (MENALAC).
Haak Wegmann stated, “After two years working for Majid Al Futtaim, now proud to be joining the EMAAR group. It has been a great period at MAF, where I had the pleasure to work with an international dream team!
