(eap) Disney Cruise Line has announced details about one of its next cruise ships, the “Disney Adventure”, which is scheduled to set sail from Singapore on 15 December 2025. There will be a total of seven themed areas to discover on the new Disney liner: “Disney Imagination Garden”, “Toy Story Place”, “San Fransokyo Street”, “Town Square”, “Wayfinder Bay”, “Disney Discovery Reef” and “Marvel Landing”.

“As part of our unprecedented expansion for Disney Cruise Line, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences that bring our special brand of cruising and the best of Disney storytelling to new guests on new shores,” says Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Disney Cruise Line. “When the Disney Adventure sets sail in December 2025, guests throughout Southeast Asia will have the opportunity to experience the magic of their favorite Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories, in their very own backyard.”

The Marvel Landing area, which will offer three rides that have never been on any other Disney ship before, is likely to be a highlight. This is going to include the first roller coaster on a Disney ship, which is a “Spike Coaster” from German manufacturer Maurer Rides. At a height of almost ten metres (30 feet) above the upper deck, passengers will race along the 250-metre (820-foot)-long track in two-seater roller coaster trains. The ride will be designed in the colours of the iconic superhero suit from “Iron Man”. Furthermore, young passengers will be able to do drive rounds in the “Pym Quantum Racers” – inspired by the car chase scene in the film “Ant-Man and The Wasp”. There will also be the “Groot Galaxy Spin”, a round ride in the style of the popular Marvel film “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Moreover, visitors will be able to relax at the end of the ship in the “Infinity Pool and Bar” with a panoramic view of the sea.

The “Toy Story Place” promises further water fun – especially for families with young children. A water play area inspired by “Toy Story”, a splash pad, water slides, a large family pool and several whirlpools will await them there. More entertainment will be provided at the “San Fransokyo Street”, where passengers will find the “Big Hero Arcade” with “Bay Max”-themed games and simulators. Various shows will await visitors in the “Disney Imagination Garden” and at the “Wayfinder Bay”. While there will be numerous offers for the youngest visitors, older passengers are also catered for, for example with massage, wellness and fitness offers as well as the opportunity to enjoy a drink at one of the bars.

In addition to the entertainment offerings, the latest Disney cruise ship will, as usual with its predecessors, offer a variety of dining options with a Disney touch as well as a selection of different cabin categories. A total of five ships belong to the current Disney fleet (“Disney Magic”, “Disney Wonder”, “Disney Dream”, “Disney Fantasy” and “Disney Wish”) – eight future cruise ships have already been announced, including the “Disney Treasure”, which is due to set sail at the end of this year, and the “Disney Destiny”, which will depart from Port Everglades at the end of 2025. ■
