The Munich-based steelwork company Maurer Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, which has more than 1,000 employees worldwide, changed its name and legal form in mid-December and is now called MAURER AG. The change in legal form marks a significant milestone in the company’s international business strategy. A new logo and website (www.maurer.eu) are supposed to strengthen the overall presence of the company. Former directors Dr. Holger Krasmann (CEO) and Dr. Christian Braun were appointed to the board of directors of Maurer AG. The company is still owned by the families Beutler and Grill, which also provide the chairman of the board, Jörg Beutler. (eap)
