Netherlands: Countdown Started for Opening of New Record Funnel Slide at Hof van Saksen
Dutch Hof van Saksen holiday resort, which belongs to the portfolio of Landal Green Parks, will open its new “Saltato” slide attraction next week (on July 5th), a 195-meter long funnel slide supplied by Van Egdom. Guests to the resort’s indoor waterpark will be able to experience the novelty in two-person rafts, rushing through a total of four funnel elements measuring five meters in diameter each. Special lighting effects have been installed to round off the experience.
The new “Saltato“ slide was added to an existing tower, which was opened back in 2017 with the „Bombo“ free fall slide, the “Intenso” tube slide and the “Presto” speed slide (cf. EAP 6/2017). Roland Rozenbroek, CEO of Hof van Saksen, is looking forward to the novelty: “Nowhere else there are such unique family water slides. With “Saltato” we will launch a new attraction especially for older kids. We aim at offering our guests extraordinary holidays at the highest level and suprising them each time they visit us. In recent years, we have renovated many facilities and expanded our range of services. These continuous investments and innovations enable us to maintain our leading position in the industry,” explains Rozenbroek.
Guests of the holiday resort have been able to enjoy another new leisure offering on the outdoor grounds of Hof van Saksen as of late: This June a new adventure golf course with 18 holes was opened, featuring courses twice as long as standard crazy golf courses for a greater challenge and playing fun. The adventure golf attraction was implemented by City Golf Europe and themed according to the surrounding nature of the holiday resort, which is located in the Dutch province of Drenthe. (eap)
