Netherlands: Efteling Registers New Attendance Record with 5.18 Million Visitors in 2017

In the past fiscal year 2017, Dutch Efteling amusement park has welcomed a total of 5.18 million visitors (2016: 4.76 million guests), registering a new attendance record. This is also the result of the success of the new “Symbolica” dark ride attraction opened at Efteling last summer (cf. our cover story in EAP, 5/17), which since then has been a big hit among park visitors. With these outstanding numbers, the Dutch amusement park is now the third theme park in Europe breaking the five million visitor mark, after Disneyland Paris and Germany’s Europa-Park.
