Netherlands: Efteling Renovates “De Oude Tufferbaan“ Attraction with New Cars & Interactive Scenes
Dutch Efteling theme park has announced a complete make-over of its “De Oude Tufferbaan” vintage cars attraction, opened in 1984, at a scheduled investment volume of 1.8 million Euros. As of mid-April this year, visitors to the park will be able to take a ride in new cars along the existing, 580 meter long track, which will include new sceneries with interactive animal figures.
The outdated “Ford T” car models will be replaced by new cars and pick-ups, offering space for up to four passengers each. To further increase the Tufferbaan’s capacity, its station will be converted for dual loading. In addition, the attraction will receive energy-saving LED lightings and a new, memorable soundtrack. Construction works are scheduled to begin on February 18th. (eap)
