Netherlands: Toverland Celebrates Opening of New “Avalon” Theme Area
Today, Dutch Toverland theme park officially opens its new “Avalon” theme area featuring the Celtic saga of Merlin and King Arthur for visitors, who are now able to enjoy the area’s two main attractions – the “Fēnix” wing coaster and the “Merlin’s Quest” boat ride (cf. EAP news from October 2nd, 2017). Also, the new “Port Laguna” entrance portal is now open for park guests.
Jean Gelissen, Owner of Toverland, and his sister, Toverland Managing Director Caroline Kartooms, are proud: “From a height of just under 40 meters we have been watching at our park guests relaxing and enjoying Port Laguna and Avalon. That’s what we’ve made all this for. This is our magical world,” said Kortooms about the reactions of invited guests to a pre-opening event this past Thursday.
