Netherlands: Toverland Expands Winter Offer

As of this season the Dutch amusement park Toverland, located in the North of Limburg, wants to expand its winter attractions offer and therefore for the first time opens its second roofed themed area during the winter months. Apart from the “Land of Toos” area guests now also have the possibility to visit the “Magic Forest” area, including attractions such as the “Booster Bike” rollercoaster, the whitewater ride “Backstroke” or the bobkart track “Maximus’ Blitz Bahn”, which was introduced in March this year (cf. EAP, issue 3/2015). Furthermore, the park offers its guests several additional shows, events and live entertainment. During the Christmas holidays Toverland intends to surprise its visitors with further special events including an illusionist show and gospel choir concerts. To create a cozy atmosphere, the park will be illuminated by thousands of lights then. Additionally, the “Troy” area and its wooden coaster will be open to guests throughout the two weeks of holidays. By extending its winter offer, the amusement park hopes for further growth and increased attendance figures during the winter months. (eap)
