Netherlands/Peru: Jora Vision Develops Ambitious Leisure Resort Project in Peru
During IAAPA Expo Europe last week in Barcelona, Dutch design and theming company Jora Vision presented a unique concept that involves the development of a mixed-use leisure resort on the northern coast of Peru. One of the highlights of this project will be the Inka Park theme park, which will be divided into six different areas: “Adventure Town“, “Expedition Paititi“, “Amaru River Valley“, “Spirit Grove“, “Cloud Forest“ and “City of Sun“. In all areas, there will be a mix of different attractions designed to appeal to all ages.
The different areas will each represent their own time zones, which are to be linked by the theme of archaeology. The storyline around main character “Sayri“ was developed by Jora Vision in cooperation with Larry Tuch.
In the first phase of development, in addition to the theme park, the water park Yaku World, for which a contract has already been signed with the Canadian manufacturer ProSlide, and the retail and entertainment area Carnival Boulevard are planned to be built. According to Floris van Eeden, project architect at Jora Vision, the opening is targeted for 2026. Learn more about the development project in South America in one of our upcoming issues. (eap)
