Nettedrom Under New Leadership

Nettedrom Under New Leadership

Symbolic handover of the Nettedrom key: Johannes Voigt (Head of Leisure at Stadtwerke Osnabrück), Stadtwerke CFO Dirk Eichholz, TeamSport Managing Director Dom Gaynor and Stadtwerke CEO Daniel Waschow (f.l.t.r.).

(eap) The Nettedrom received new management at the turn of the year. The new leaseholder and operator is the British company TeamSport, which operates 40 kart tracks in Europe, including German locations in Mönchengladbach and Bergkirchen near Munich.

“With TeamSport, we have found an experienced and competent partner for the Nettedrom,” emphasized Stadtwerke Osnabrück CFO Dirk Eichholz at the signing of the contract. The expertise and broad network of the industry leader is an enrichment for the Nettebad leisure location: “We are therefore putting our e-kart track in very good hands.” For TeamSport Managing Director Dom Gaynor, the Nettedrom fits in perfectly with the company’s focus: “We see ourselves as pioneers in the field of sustainable e-karting. And the Nettedrom plays a beacon role in this.”

The transfer of operations will take place during ongoing operations, meaning that bookings already made for 2024 will remain valid. The staff will also be taken on by TeamSport to ensure a seamless transition.

Stadtwerke Osnabrück put the e-kart track at Nettebad into operation in March 2017. After a successful start, however, economic expectations could no longer be met, particularly due to the pandemic, so the Stadtwerke Executive Board decided to place the Nettedrom in other hands in order to ensure the continuation of the offer. ■
