New Board of the European Waterpark Association Elected

(eap) In the course of interbad 2024, the European Waterpark Association (EWA) held its regular general meeting yesterday evening with new elections for the board and the advisory board of supporting members. At the International Congress Center (ICS) of Messe Stuttgart, the following members were elected to the new board by a large majority: Jutta Kleiber will take over the office of President, replacing Markus Achleitner, a member of the Upper Austrian provincial council. Kleiber has been a member of the EWA Board since 2015 and Vice President of the EWA since 2018. She is Director of the Les Thermes public pool in Luxembourg.

Her previous position as Vice President has now been taken over by authorized signatory and member of the GMF Management Board Harald Gabriel, who has been a member of the EWA Board since 2018. Andreas Ramsauer, Managing Director of Silvretta Therme in Ischgl, Austria, will also act as Vice President from now on. Ramsauer has been an assessor on the EWA Board since 2014. Wolfgang Hermle (Managing Director of Mineraltherme Böblingen) and Florian Perteneder (General Manager and authorized signatory of Therme Wien), Oliver Sternagel (Managing Director of Karlsruher Bäder) and Susan Zetzmann (Managing Director of SAALEMAXX Freizeit und Erlebnisbad Rudolstadt GmbH and Jenaer Bäder) are now also members of the Board.

Christian Ahuis, founder of movemotions, and Sonja Redies, Managing Director and co-founder of the management consultancy PROFUND Consult, were elected to the advisory board of supporting members for the first time. Rouven Bartels, Managing Director and co-founder of entervo-access, Simon Kellerhoff from IST-Studieninstitut and IST-Hochschule für Management as well as Julian Liebert, Sales Manager at Michel Development & Consulting, were re-elected.
The board elections were followed by a festive dinner at the nearby Mövenpick Hotel with the official presentation of the EWA Awards 2024, the winners of which were recently announced (see EAP News of 11.09.24). Congratulations to all award winners and newly elected Board and Advisory Board members. ■
