(eap) A new e-sports arena was recently opened at Ferrari World Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. It comprises 20 Gran Turismo simulators, including 14 for adults, six for children and three F1 simulators. The attraction is aimed at racing drivers of all ages and can also be used by people with special needs thanks to two special GT simulators. Players can drive on nine official racetracks, including “Monza”, “Imola”, “Silverstone” and “Yas Marina”, and choose between ten Ferrari cars – seven GT models and three F1 models. A new track is also unlocked every month, inviting guests to play again.

In terms of design, the Ferrari World e-sports arena is characterised by a black and red design that matches the brand. A 63-metre-long LED wall, which serves as a display for live event updates, scores and advertising content, is particularly eye-catching. The Dutch company Lagotronics Projects was responsible for the LED wall as well as the audio-visual and lighting installations. The main contractor for the design and construction of the e-sports arena was the Abu Dhabi-based company International Decor Co. (IDC).

“We are delighted to have partnered with IDC on this groundbreaking project at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi,” emphasizes Mark Beumers, CEO of Lagotronics Projects. “Their great expertise in the field of construction, interior décor and fit-out, combined with our expertise in audio-visual and lighting technology has ensured an unparalleled experience for E-Sports enthusiasts and Ferrari fans alike.” ■
