New Indoor Fun: Tønnevirvel Reopens at Rulantica
(eap) After two and a half months of construction, the interactive water carousel “Tønnevirvel” at Europa-Park’s Rulantica water park reopened last Friday. The attraction, which was specially designed for Rulantica by Mack Rides, now offers water fun regardless of the weather thanks to its new roof. The attraction is now surrounded by a ten-cornered building with a diameter of 28 meters, which has a direct connection to Rulantica’s large hall via an entrance. A transparent roof and folding glass walls also provide an outdoor feeling in summer.
Tønnevirvel has been thrilling visitors in the outdoor area of Rulantica since 2022 with a combination of twisting fun and water battles. Passengers can have water fights with large water spray guns in round boats for up to six people each.
In early summer 2025, Rulantica will be expanded to include the “Svømmepøl” outdoor pool, which will offer space to swim laps, splash around in comfort or enjoy the sun at the swim-up bar. A look into the future also promises further novelties: An area with a restaurant, sunbathing areas and a children’s play area is planned under the name “Nørd Havn”. ■
