New Kids Area at Alpamare Pfaeffikon Popular Among Families
The Alpamare water park in the Swiss town of Pfaeffikon, which with its total area of 25,000 square meters and 2,750 square meters of water surface is one of Europe’s largest roofed water parks, opened its new kids area called “children’s paradise” in the middle of this year.
This new 200-square meter large area features splashy slides, a paddling pool and a selection of water games, including a water sprinkling turtle and an octopus, a tipping bucket, water guns with targets and a waterfall. Water slide manufacturer Klarer Freizeitanlagen provided the water park with a triple slide for the new area, the Dutch company Aqua Drolics supplied all the attractions for the splash area. The Austrian company Thallessa Freizeitanlagen accompanied and coordinated the whole project, for which the park invested a middle six-digit sum. The Alpamare water park, which is operated by the Spanish Aspro Ocio group, created this new kids’ area for children aged 0-8 years to close an existing gap in their family offer. Parents can rest in the children’s paradise enjoying the adjoining terrace and its great view on Lake Zurich.
After its first months of operation, now it is time for a first evaluation of the kid’s area: “The children’s paradise is just great. Kids love the variety of the attraction offer, especially the interactive figures and small slides. Also their parents appreciate the new offer: it is so child-friendly that they can relax in loungers in the large resting area while their children are playing,” said Alpamare Managing Director Martine Oosting.
